JAIN University Presents JU 2024 National Art Exhibition and Camp
Bengaluru, 20th December 2024: – JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), in collaboration with Jain School of Design, media and creative arts, and Shantamani Kala Kendra, proudly announces the JU 2024 National Art Exhibition and Camp. This unique initiative aims to celebrate the transformative power of art while creating opportunities for artists to showcase their talent and connect with the broader society.
The event, open to the public, will bring together 50 of India’s finest artists who will display 100 unique art forms and deliver 50 live art demonstrations over the course of 72 immersive hours. With Karnataka as the thematic focus, the exhibition also emphasizes the role of art in connecting communities and fostering cultural and economic growth.
The exhibition will be graced by eminent personalities, including Shri Vijay Achrekar, Renowned Artist, Mumbai; Shri Krishna Setty, Eminent Artist, Bengaluru; Shri Srinivasulu IFS, Commissioner, Ayush Department; and Shri Pa Sa Kumar, Senior Artist and Chairman, Karnataka Lalita Kala Akademi.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chenraj Roychand, Chancellor of Jain (Deemed-to-be-University) said, “This initiative goes beyond being a conventional exhibition or conference. It is a deliberate effort to connect artists with platforms for exhibition and performance, provide avenues for economic growth and societal impact, and unearth and celebrate the “silent art” within the conscience of the community.”
Avinash D Kate, Dean of Art and Design at Shantamani Kala Kendra, said, “The JU 2024 National Art Exhibition and Camp is a testament to our dedication to fostering creativity and innovation in the arts. This event brings together exceptional artists, diverse art forms, and inspiring themes, creating a platform where talent meets opportunity.”
He further adds, “Our focus on Karnataka as a theme and the inclusion of participants from the North Eastern states highlight the cultural diversity and artistic brilliance of our nation. We are honoured to facilitate a space where art not only flourishes but also connects with society, empowering artists through exposure, recognition, and economic opportunities.”
With a focus on Karnataka’s rich artistic heritage, the event promises to be an inspiring and transformative cultural experience. The Exhibition and Camp will take place from 22nd to 24th December 2024 at the 24 Divine Live Art Gallery. School of Design , Media and Creative Arts.
