Global Indian International School Nagpur’s Student Excels in U-14 Rifle Shooting at DSO Rural Tournament

Nagpur, September 17, 2025: Global Indian International School (GIIS), Lava, Nagpur takes immense pride in announcing the outstanding achievement of its young talent, Hridhaan Kartik Uttarwar, a grade 6 student, who showcased remarkable skill and precision in Peep Sight Air Rifle Shooting at the prestigious DSO Rural Tournament. Competing in the Under-14 category, Hridhaan secured an impressive fourth place, scoring a commendable 247 points.

This remarkable feat is a result of Hridhaan’s two years of consistent practice, discipline, and unwavering perseverance. His journey reflects the spirit of dedication that GIIS nurtures in its students, encouraging them to balance academics with excellence in co-curricular pursuits.

The DSO Rural Tournament is a sports event organised by a District Sports Office (DSO) for schools and youth in India, aiming to promote sports and identify talent. The sports extravaganza witnessed participation from 14 of young athletes across the region, making Hridhaan’s achievement even more noteworthy.
