Wave City collaborates with Hi-Tech World School to commemorate International Plastic Bag Free Day
Ghaziabad, 4th July 2023: Wave City, the first operational Hi-tech City in North India, today initiated a special campaign to commemorate International Plastic Bag Free Day. A special campaign was organised in collaboration with Hi-Tech World School where the students of the school prepared paper bags and distributed them among the shopkeepers of the Wave Galleria, Dream Bazar in Wave City, Ghaziabad.
While distributing the paper bags, the children expressed utmost excitement and joy while interacting with the vendors. Their interaction was also captured in photographs.
International Plastic Bag Free Day is celebrated annually on 3rd July.
Speaking on the campaign, Mr CJ Singh, COO, Wave City said,” It is a delight to celebrate International Plastic Bag Free Day with the students of Hi-Tech World School at our complex. We at Wave City understand the gravity of the current environmental challenges and are rigorously working towards ensuring minimal usage of plastic at our premises. It is empowering to see youngsters coming forward and talking about environmental preservation and doing their bit. I believe that we as responsible residents should incorporate paper bags in our daily lives and eliminate plastic bags completely. I congratulate Wave City and Hi-Tech World School for successfully concluding this campaign.”
