Kotak Mahindra Investments Provides Free Meals to Migrants & the Needy in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR

Mumbai/New Delhi, 1st May 2020: To lend support to the relief efforts of the government and civil society in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, Kotak Mahindra Investments Limited (KMIL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Bank, today announced that it will provide support for free meals to migrants, the homeless and the urban poor impacted by the lockdown across Mumbai and the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR). KVN Foundation, a Bengaluru based not-for-profit organisation, will assist KMIL in the preparing, implementation and distribution of the programme in the two geographies.

Under KMIL’s COVID-19 relief intervention, cooked meals will be distributed over the next few weeks to thousands of poor and needy identified by various NGOs in consultation with the local government in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. Each meal, with a combination of proteins and carbohydrates, will help in meeting the daily nutritional requirements of the beneficiaries.
